When I received the email that stated about the Jewelery Talent Contest I was interested in participating because I believe in what I do and I know it is a good opportunity to show how much confidence I have in my work; in my creations.”
These are the words of Beatriz Sánchez, founder of the new participating brand: B.Fab. And there is so much reason in these words, because this is what we want in you and that is why we have done this contest again. We want you to expose yourself, get out of your comfort zone and show the world the beauty in your efforts and creations because all work must be applauded and admired.
We are a blog that talks about trends and the world of fashion, but we also greatly value the quality of our followers’ work and the dedication that has made them better.
From Puerto Rico, B.Fab is a very varied line and is distinguished by being very colorful and making necklaces with a “statement”, that is, beyond making a statement in the world of fashion wants to leave a remarkable mark in her.
We need jewelry like that. Jewels that want to make a difference. Before and after. The eye-catching jewels like those of B.Fab are -fabulous- to enhance your look with that dress that you have kept in the closet but you never wear it because you think it makes you look bored or off.
The key to enhancing the morale of a boring dress is by accompanying it with an exuberant and captivating necklace.
I am a supporter of minimalist jewelry but, come on, all of us at some point in our lives want to put on that pair of large ornate earrings or that necklace of stones.
As always in the Jewelry Talent articles I tell the story of the participants because many times we do not know that we feel identified with something until we read it or listen to it. Sharing with you the techniques and preferences of each one makes us grow because we know that we are providing them with valuable information.
So in 2003, Beatriz, its founder, decided to enter in the field of jewelery design thanks to the passion she felt for fashion, prompted her to get closer and closer to it.
“Jewelry for me is like that accent that gives strength to any dress.”
The name of your brand is not by its name as at first it crossed my mind, it is a way of saying “Be Fabulous“. Her great passion is to create colorful and funny pieces, and she considers that the stones she uses are a wonderful source of inspiration, as well as every day she lives and all the places where she experiences.
Her imagination reaches unimaginable levels when it comes to creativity when you are in the process of choosing the stones for your necklaces. Her jewels are of warm and picturesque colors like his native land: Puerto Rico, and nature is his main source of ideas. And that is the perception that I have about that country, although I have never had the wonderful opportunity to visit it.
The knotted is present among the techniques used to make their jewelry, especially used for long necklaces that have a bohemian look.
Another technique that distinguishes it is the “rosary chain”, where she makes the chain using stones or crystals accompanied by goldfilled wire. This method is preferred for layered collars.
The variety is present, because the goldsmith is also part of the brand B.Fab and, although metal and welding are used, these pieces are more minimalist and do not abound in their collections, since the soul of the brand is the showy jewels and exuberant
“The most I love working with is the semiprecious stones. The stones with their colors and shades make me fly the imagination and each created piece has its history. Story that adorns who uses them and makes them look fabulous.”
